GET TO KNOW A HARLEY-DAVIDSON® MOTORCYCLE - An introduction into the controls, buttons, levers, lights, doo-wallies, and whats-its. Our instructor will give you some info on the heritage of each model and some specifications. We're also going to educate you on how to identify the different models. Tell a Dyna® from a Softail® , and a Sportster® from a Honda, a V-Rod® from a import. You'll be able to identify any Harley® model on the street. We'll also give you a vocabulary lesson and explaining that motorcycle jargon in plain English. You'll have everyone saying, "This girl knows her stuff".
MOTORCYCLE ACCESSORIES ARE A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND - Butt fatigue, knotted helmet hair, no where to put a drink, hands asleep, and hey, we're not even to Hammond yet. We'll teach you how to turn your motorcycle into a cruising machine regardless of where you sit. We'll show you what a touring seat is like, how a windshield can eliminate tangles, good places to mount a drink holder, and the wonders of different handlebars. We'll teach you about creature comforts and a lot more at a Garage Party™.
GET YOUR BUTT IN SOME GEAR - If you haven't got the right gear, you're not going to enjoy the ride. It's like playing football in baseball gear...the outcome is not going to be very pretty. At a Garage Party™ we'll let you try on different motorcycle gear designed to do different things. When is a good time to wear the perforated leather jacket? Should I invest in an FXRG® jacket? Why do I need raingear if I never ride in the rain? Is heated gear really necessary in Louisiana? Answers to these questions and more at a Harley-Davidson of Baton Rouge's Garage Party™.
FALLEN MOTORCYCLE 101 - It's the most intimidating thought in the world, I dropped my Harley® bike. Now what? Well, the first thing is to upright the motorcycle. Even though it looks like you'd need a crane to pick up a Harley bike, it's easy enough even a girl can do it. We'll put a Harley bike on its side and show you the technique to uprighting a fallen motorcycle.
The class will last a total of about two hours. Attendees will spend roughly 30 minutes at each interactive station. Refreshments and hors de oeuvres will be served at a mix-n-mingle session halfway through the party.
Space is limited so if one party fills up we are more than happy to save you a spot in the next one!
By the way, this event is for women only. So leave those with the XY chromosomes at home.
